What I like most about my school:

It’s epic!’ ‘The teachers!’ ‘I like the work we do!’I like it when everyone works hard!’ ‘Learning new things!’ ‘Because it makes me happy!’ ‘Writing!’ ‘Lunchtime!’ ‘It’s fun and great and lovely!’

What I would like to change:

‘reading a bit more’ ‘purple decoration’ ‘a football pitch’ ‘people being mean’ ‘more adults’ ‘Playtime is very loud’, ‘more music’

Whenever we carry out surveys within the classroom, we always take the time to ask our children for reasons for their answers. One child doesn’t like being at school because he ‘likes chilling at the weekend’. Another child felt that the teacher wasn’t listening to her because ’other children are always wanting the teacher!’ In class, we take the opportunity to discuss views and offer explanations and solutions. We felt that this survey was particularly positive, especially as it is from some of our youngest children in school.
